Bheemeshwari trip

Let me tell now about Bheemeshwari trip. Bheemeshwari is lying between Shivanasamudra falls and Mekedatu falls, in Mandya District, Karnataka. It was nice one.. As I mentioned earlier, it is around 100 plus kms away from Bangalore, you have to catch Kanakapura road from Bansankari. Road is good till Kanakapura. You can find the condition of road gets bad immediately after Kanakapura. We had our breakfast around 8:45 am on the way to Kanakapura. You can find lots of hotels on road sides, but our trip operator already made arrangements for us.

Almost all the way you can find the big pipes pumping water from River Cauvery to Bagalore for drinking water project. After Kanakapura you have to travel around 40-50 kms, but you cannot find any place name like ‘Bheemeswari’ in any boards. You can find the name like ‘Kaveri fishing camp’. And around 20 kms you have to travel through the forest. The road in forest area is good one, but narrow. Also the forest is not dense one. You cannot find much wild animals inside the forest except one or two foxes or moneys. You will lose your network connectivity before entering into the forest. In Bheemeswari, you can find Karnataka forest department office and honeymoon huts.

If you need to trek into the forest, you need to get permission from forest department. Our tour operator already got it and we had the Trekking till the River Cauvery view point. Our operator arranged one local tribe guy to take care of us in case of some problems. It was a nice view to enjoy the beauty of River Cauvery from the hill top.

Then we walked from hill top to the banks of Kaveri through the forest. It was very steep and we reached the river in 15 minutes. Our guide, Mr.Prakash was not ready to allow us into the water, since it is raining time and any time the shutters of Krishnarajasagar dam can be open, then the water level will increase from 5 to 10 feet in one shot. But we managed to get into the water. You can find some snaps.

After the lunch at 1.30 arranged by our trip operator, we had some fun and team activates. Around 5 pm, we left the place and by 8.30 we reached Koramangala.

Totally it was a fun day.
