Fish Moli
This is an ancient delicious dish of Kerala.
Ingredients: -
1.Prawns (1kg), cleaned
2.Green Chilly (3 or 4 nos)
3.Big Onion (1 no.), sliced
4.Ginger (1 small piece cut into pieces)
5.Garlic (3 pods cut into small pieces)
6.Curry leaves
7.Turmeric powder (1 ts)
8.Kudampuli (2 nos)
9. First extract (1/2 cup) and 2nd extract (1 ½ cup) of coconut milk
10.Oil, mustard seeds
11.Salt
Method: -
Marinate prawns in turmeric and salt for ½ an hr.
Pour oil in a kadai
Put mustard seeds
Once the mustard seeds are spluttered, put onion, curry leaves, green chilly, ginger and garlic and fry for 2 mins
Then put the prawns into the kadai.
Add the Kudampuli also
Pour the 2nd extract of coconut milk
Allow the mixture to boil till the prawns are cooked well and the gravy content will be reduced by now.
Then pour the 1st extract of coconut milk. The gravy will be thickened.
Switch off the stove after 2 mins.

Another great dish of Kerala
Ingredients: -
Fish pieces (1 kg cleaned)
1. Ginger (1 small piece, cut into long slices)
2. Garlic (3 pods, cut into long slices)
3. Fenugreek seeds (1 ts)
4. Mustard seeds
5. Salt, curry leaves & Oil
6. Kudampuli (5 nos)(You can see the same in photo provided)
7. Coconut milk (1 cup)
8. Chilly powder (2 tbs)
9. Coriander powder (1/2 tbs)
10. Turmeric powder
11. water (2 cups)
Method: -
Pour 2 tbs of oil in a kadai
Put the mustard and fenugreek seeds and allow them to splutter
Keep the burner in low flame and put the chilly powder. Before the chilly powder becomes brown, remove the kadai from the stove.
In a separate kadai, put the fish, above fried mixture (step 3), coriander powder, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder and salt.
Pour water to the above mixture
Once the fish pieces are half cooked pour the coconut milk into the mixture.
Allow the mixture to boil till the fish pieces are fully cooked.
Once cooked, switch off the stove.
